For Edward's 40th birthday he wanted to go to Puerto Rico which really surprised me because it's where my family is from. Our cultures are totally different: both rich in history, both with amazing food, but I had no idea he wanted me to give him a "tour de force" of my mother's homeland and practiced his Spanish for two weeks before we left! He is really cute and a good sport as you will see in the photos above.
The gallery features photos from inside the Castillo San Cristóbal, the sculpture garden at the Paseo de la Princesa and just some highlights of the brightly colored houses that are the traditional homes in old San Juan.
Me, being me noticed that San Cristobal is PERFECT for a photo shoot : smooth white walls, natural light, the worn wooden accents make it unique but very elegant. It's perfect for a spring / summer shoot with a lady like theme. I tossed Ed in the shots for scale. Ed is 6'3" so keep that in mind as you look at some of the images. The contemporary art sculpture at the end of the Paseo is perfect for a more contemporary shoot the large spikes contrasting against and the ancient wall stone in the back it would make it an incredible location for a look book. I did my research and i haven't seen them used yet... I need to make some calls to find out what might be involved with a shoot there but I love the idea :) it's on my things to do list.
